PA State Law
All vehicles registered in the state must have insurance. Any lapse in coverage will result in the suspension of vehicle registration purposes for three months. Can your business afford to go without its company autos for three months?
Similar to personal auto insurance requirements, all Commercial Vehicle Insurance policies must have, at minimum, liability coverage for the following amounts:
- $15,000 for injury or death of one person in an accident
- $30,000 for injury or death of more than one person in an accident
- $5,000 for damage to property of another person
At Joyce, Jackman & Bell Insurors we meet or exceed all of these requirements.
What Pennsylvania Business Auto Insurance Covers
Commercial Auto Insurance is important for protecting your business from any devastating claims stemming from an accident involving one of your company vehicles. Each of our policies includes coverage for the following:
- Comprehensive and Collision - Pays for coverage if you vehicle is damaged in a collision, stolen, or otherwise harmed in a non-collision event.
- Emergency Roadside Assistance - Need a tow? Give us a call!
- Liability - Will pay court and defense costs in the event you are sued.
- Medical Payments - Pays for medical and funeral expenses for the bodily injury to a covered person that is injured in an accident involving the covered auto
- Loss of earnings
- Uninsured Motor Vehicle - See below.
What Is Employer Non-Owned Car Liability Coverage (ENOL)?
ENOL protects you when your employees drive their own vehicle for business purposes. Even if your employees only occasionally drive their own vehicles it is better to be protected than to risk a lawsuit.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage (UM/UIM)
Uninsured and underinsured motorists are a big problem all over the United States. Often times an individual will be involved in an accident only to find that the other party is either uninsured or does not have adequate coverage to pay for the damages they have caused. If you do not have UM/UIM coverage you could be responsible for paying a hefty amount in out of pocket expenses.
