Hello out there! As many of you know, we here at Joyce, Jackman & Bell Insurors are all about supporting our local community. This week we wanted to direct your attention to the Marian C. Bell Foundation for Parkinson’s.
Founded in 2006 by the family of Marian Bell, the Marian C. Bell Foundation for Parkinson’s is a charitable organization dedicated to increasing Parkinson’s disease awareness, as well as fundraising to support those working to find a cure.
This is a foundation that is very close to our hearts here at JJB. Marian, wife of Brian Bell and mother of Andrew Bell, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 26 years ago when very little was known about the disease. While we know more about it today than we did then, there is still a lot of work to be done before we can find a cure for Parkinson’s disease, and you can help.
Last Monday, September 15th, the Marian C. Bell Foundation for Parkinson’s hosted the 9th Annual P.A.R. for Parkinson’s Golf Tournament at The Country Club of Scranton. All proceeds go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Since 2000, the Michael J Fox Foundation has funded over $450 million in Parkinson’s research. Team Fox is a 1600 member grassroots fundraising branch of the Michael J Fox Foundation that the MCB Foundation has been a proud member of since its inception.
You can still donate to this amazing cause. Call us at (570)654-5239 and ask how you can donate to the Marian C. Bell Foundation for Parkinson's Today.
Together we can help raise the funds to cure Parkinson’s disease!
